This is officially my first blog post here!! I thought about keeping it short and simple by sharing a little about the joyful day I had yesterday. It's so easy to get caught up on to-do-lists, chores, and daily stresses that we often forget how much pleasure we can get from simply "unplugging" and carving out some time for ourselves.
And that's what I just did. I met with a very dear friend for a Sunday morning meditation session at my local Buddhist center and then we headed for breakfast/lunch at one of my favorite cozy spots. We fed ourselves with delicious fare and great talk and I got home after that feeling lighter, happier and more able to notice and appreciate other blessings around me (like the warmer and sunnier weather after a looooong and extremely cold winter. We are waiting for you with arms wide open, Spring!).
As trivial as it might sound to some, it was a small luxury for me to do so, as I have two little kids at home and a tired husband who was very kind and understanding to let me have a "day off". And for all that, I am truly grateful!
I hope you had a great weekend and have an even more fantastic week ahead.
Namaste!
